@The increased popularity of the mobile phone has vastly changed how we communicate. You may have already noticed the convenience of mobile phones in your business environment or your everyday lives.
FUSERASHI has produced micro parts such as pins and tubes that are used for batteries in mobile phones. Our forming techniques for micro parts maintain strict tolerances at the micrometer level, tolerances that were impossible to attain with conventional machining processes. Because of this precision, FUSERASHI's micro parts are highly regarded in the industry and used by numerous manufacturers around the world. Additionally, our forming techniques have obtained remarkable cost reductions for our customers as well as space saving features for mobile phones. This has helped in the advancement and widespread use of mobile phones. Micro-formed parts will play an important role for FUSERASHI in the 21st century. These parts are widely used in the IT field for information and imaging equipment as well as audiovisual appliances.

Currently environmental destruction is continuing on a global basis. To protect the earth, it is necessary for us to reduce the CO2 that causes global warming. One of the solutions to the problem is the development of the HEV (Hybrid Energy Vehicle = Hybrid Car).HEVs are already on the road in countries throughout the world.
FUSERASHI's HEV parts are used in the car batteries, which are the central component of HEVs. We developed our HEV parts using cold forming and cold extrusion techniques and are currently investigating the shapes and materials of such parts together with our customers in order to further improve efficiency and performance. We are also conducting cost analysis in view of full-scale mass production. Additionally, we are continuing our research oriented toward providing parts for the Zero Emission Vehicle (emission free automobile) to be developed in the near future. This battery, which utilizes FUSERASHI's technologies, is replacing lead batteries in such items as rechargeable battery-powered bicycles, cordless vacuum cleaners, and electric power tools. Such applications will benefit and improve our everyday lives.
The buildings, houses, bridges, freeways, and other architectural structures that you find in cities are constructed by joining many parts together. We believe that the most important elements required in such structures are safety and ease of construction.
Until recently the only way to join the structural cages and beams of reinforced concrete was by welding because these components are only accessible from one side. However, welding is inefficient because it requires skilled labor and, since there is variance in welding quality, X-ray inspection is needed to ensure safety. In order to solve such problems, FUSERASHI developed a joining technology called the Ultra-Twist Fastener. This fastener allows an unskilled laborer. to fasten parts from one side using a high-tensile bolt and provides such advantages as improved earthquake resistance, lowered construction cost, shortened construction time, and reduced labor. Besides building construction, currently this joint technique is also widely adopted for urban infrastructure, such as bridge reinforcement and preventing freeway side-walls from falling, all this while simultaneously providing the opposing features of optimum safety and installation ease.
